Wade's Farrier Service

"Quality and Kindness"

History:  I was born and raised in Chester County on a large horse farm specializing in raising and training quality home raised horses.           Growing up on the farm provided me with hands on experience working with training young horses as well as working with untrusting horses.   In may of 2002,  I joined the United States Marine Corps ending my duty in 2006.  After 4 years of not being around horses I knew I had to chose a profession that I would love. Being raised around horses, throughout the years, I have had the opportunity to see many farriers come and go.  It was always immediately obvious which of them were true horse lovers and which of them see this profession as strictly a means of income.  My love of horses is what drives me to want to improve the quality of workmanship.  I had grown up helping to shoe our families horses but felt that I wanted to expand my knowledge on blacksmithing.  With this in mind, I chose to attend Oklahoma Horseshoeing School, Inc. in Purcell, Oklahoma.  There I completed the advanced horseshoeing and blacksmithing course and graduated as a certified Journeyman Farrier.
